Microsoft Unveils Copilot+ PCs: Powering AI Transformation

Microsoft has introduced the all-new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, marking the debut of its Copilot+ PCs. These devices are designed to empower users in the UAE with cutting-edge AI capabilities and enhanced performance.

Copilot+ PCs, powered by advanced silicon and AI models, offer unprecedented performance levels. With up to 40+ TOPS (trillion operations per second), all-day battery life, and access to the most advanced AI models, these devices are designed to revolutionise productivity.

Key features of Copilot+ PCs include Recall, Cocreator, and Live Captions. Recall allows users to instantly find anything they have seen on their PC, Cocreator generates and refines AI images in real-time, and Live Captions translates live or pre-recorded videos from 44 languages into English.

Adam Labancz, Surface Category Manager at Microsoft UAE, emphasised the transformative power of AI and the Copilot+ PCs. He highlighted, the devices’ ability to enhance productivity and unlock new experiences. Labancz notes that Copilot+ PCs are designed for students, professionals, and enthusiasts who seek to leverage the power of AI.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 11th Edition Copilot+ PC is a versatile 2-in-1 device designed for on-the-go users. Powered by the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors, it offers lightning-fast performance that is 90% faster than its predecessor. When docked, the device supports fast connectivity with Wi-Fi 7 and can connect up to three 4k monitors. With its long-lasting battery life of up to 14 hours, the Surface Pro 11th Edition is ideal for users who are constantly on the move.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 7th Edition Copilot+ PC is a powerful laptop designed for professionals seeking to accelerate innovation and drive business impact. Equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors, this laptop delivers exceptional performance and AI capabilities. The redesigned laptop features brighter displays with razor-thin bezels, more ports, faster connectivity, and up to 22 hours of battery life. It is available in two sizes: a compact 13.8-inch display and a larger 15-inch display.

Security is a top priority for Microsoft. All Copilot+ PCs are secured-core PCs that incorporate advanced security measures to protect user data. The Microsoft Pluton security processor, enabled by default on all Copilot+ PCs, adds an extra layer of protection by safeguarding credentials, identities, personal data, and encryption keys. Additionally, Copilot+ PCs come with Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-in Security (ESS), providing more secure biometric sign-ins and eliminating the need for passwords.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 11th Edition Copilot+ PC and the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7th Edition Copilot+ PC will be available in the UAE starting from August 27th. The estimated retail price for the Surface Pro 11th Edition Copilot+ PC will start from AED 4099, while the Surface Laptop 7th Edition Copilot+ PC will start from AED 3999.
