Mercedes-Benz launches the new electric G-Class with an Off-Road Experience Center in Dubai

The first-of-its-kind Off-Road Experience Center allows customers to assess the new SUV’s capabilities in rugged conditions

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, first launched 45 years ago, is considered an off-road automotive icon across continents for its long-lasting durability and timeless design. 80 per cent of all G-Class vehicles ever built remain in use on or off-road and earlier this month, the Middle East witnessed the regional premiere of the new Mercedes-AMG G 63 and the first-ever all-new electric G 580 with EQ Technology at the Mercedes-Benz Brand Center in Dubai Design District (D3).

The exclusive two-day launch event had prominent media figures, VIPs, and celebrities in attendance at the brand center. With the G-Class’ history spanning close to five decades, Mercedes-Benz featured a legacy exhibition display at the brand centre, showcasing the full history of the luxury SUV comprising iconic models such as the 6×6, 4×4², and the Maybach G 650 Landaulet.

As part of the dramatic unveiling, the new G 580 was driven into the venue personally by the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East, Michael Stroband. “The G-Class has always been a symbol of excellence and innovation. Today, we are not just unveiling new vehicles; we are heralding a new era for the G-Class, combining its iconic heritage with groundbreaking electric technology. Bringing these marvels to the Middle East, where the G-Class is deeply cherished, is a proud moment for us. We are immensely grateful to the Gargash Group for their unwavering support, which has been pivotal in making this event a success.” Michael Stroband, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East.

The Middle East gets the first-of-its-kind Off-Road Experience Center

In addition to the unveiling of the G 580 with EQ Technology, Mercedes-Benz also launched the first-of-its-kind Off-Road Experience Center at the Brand Center. Brand enthusiasts in the Middle East can now experience the unique capabilities of the all-new G 580 and AMG G 63 on an off-road track that replicates the challenging terrains and obstacles found at the G-Class Experience Center in Graz.

The Cornea Impression was invited for the launch of the new Mercedes-AMG G 63 and the first-ever all-new electric G 580 with EQ Technology at the Mercedes-Benz Brand Center along with a passenger ride experience in the newly opened Off-Road Experience Center located by the Brand Center. Here’s how it went.
