Mazda celebrates 20 years of the Mazda 6 with a special edition

Special colours and extensive equipment for the sedan and estate

The Mazda 6 is slowly but surely coming to an end. The car will be replaced by the CX-80, a large 7-seater SUV that will act as a new family model. Before saying goodbye, the sedan will celebrate its 20th anniversary with an exclusive special series. This 20th Anniversary version will offer three new colours and will tick off almost all the options available in the 6’s catalogue, plus the most powerful engine.

In detail, the sedan and station wagon will benefit from three exclusive colours: Artisan Red, Quartz Silver and Rhodium White. These metallic and multi-layered paints will highlight the Mazda 6’s many curves. In addition, the 19-inch 10-spoke wheels will add elegance and dynamism to the car’s profile. The front end gets a chrome mesh grille.

Finally, there are 20th Anniversary badges on the front wings. On board, this Mazda 6 offers brown Nappa leather upholstery on the door panels and dashboard. This trim is accompanied by black leather on the centre console, armrests and top of the dashboard. The headrests also feature the 20th Anniversary badge. In terms of equipment, the Mazda 6 20th Anniversary is fully loaded.

The car comes with adaptive cruise control with lane keeping assist, heated, massaging and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, head-up display, 360° camera, panoramic roof, ambient lighting, Matrix LED headlights, Bose sound system and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with wireless connectivity. Under the bonnet, too, the Mazda 6 20th Anniversary offers the best.

The most powerful engine in the range, the 2.5-litre Skyactiv-G petrol engine with 194 PS and 258 Nm of torque, will be used. Available only as front-wheel drive, it will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Mazda 6 20th Anniversary will go on sale in 2023, but pricing has not yet been announced.
