Maxxis Introduces New Tyres For Cruiser Bikes

They expand the brand’s Maxxceed and Maxxplore categories.

Maxxis India has just launched a range of new tyres for “Premium Cruiser Segment Bikes”. The brand describes them as a “specialized range”. Falling under the Maxxceed Series are the M6311 and M6312 options, whereas the M6239 and M6240 expand the Maxxplore Series. These are currently available for the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Classic 500, Thunderbird 350, Thunderbird 500, Bullet 500, Bullet Electra, Himalayan and the Hunter.

The newcomers in the Maxxceed Series, i.e. M6311/6312, feature a curvilinear design that boosts cornering control on wet surfaces. In addition, Maxxis claims that the new rubber also upgrades steering and leaning manoeuvres. All that is down to the zigzag pattern on alternate lugs, something also helps improve the tyre’s life. Moreover, the closed grooves at the shoulder of the M6311/M6312 reduce the chances of cracking.

The M6239/M6240 models, on the other hand, are more suited for exploration rides, which include off-road terrains. That means they can handle more punishment on the move, thanks to a rubber compound that strengthens the package. Maxxis says these tyres will also improve performance in dry and wet conditions, with deep grooves for better water channelling catering to the latter.

Here’s what Brian Yen, who is the commercial and marketing head at Maxxis India, said in an official release:

We are glad to introduce the M6239/M6240 and M6311/M6312 series of tyres for the replacement market that will set the benchmark for the cruiser segment tyres in a big way. These new ranges of tyres will bring out the zeal and fervour amongst those who long for performance and ensure a great cruising experience for new as well as experienced riders. We have engineered these tyres for enjoyable long-distance riding and highway cruising, that gives the right driving force with control while unlocking the performance of their vehicle.

The newly launched tyres are available in four rim sizes – 17, 18, 19 and 21. And they come with a 5+1 unconditional warranty cover.
