Manhart TR 900 II: The Insane 922hp Porsche 911 Turbo S

Let’s get one thing straight right out of the gate — the Manhart TR 900 II is not for the faint of heart, casual Sunday cruisers, or anyone who thinks a 650-horsepower Porsche 911 Turbo S does the job. No, this is a car that takes “more is more” and cranks it to eleven, or in this case, 922hp and 1,090Nm. This is the latest showcase of magic from the tuning wizards at Manhart Performance.

From BMW Roots To Impressive Brutes

If you’ve ever dived into the world of German tuning, you’ll know Manhart as the mad scientists from Wuppertal who have been building absurdly powerful BMWs for years. But classifying them as just a BMW tuner is like calling Usain Bolt “pretty quick.” In truth, Manhart has built monstrous machines based on Mercedes-AMG, Audi, Alfa Romeo, Land Rover, Toyota (Supra fans, you know the drill), and, of course, Porsche.

Their previous Porsche 911 project, the TR 900, was based on the ballistic 911 GT2 RS. Now, they’ve returned with a vengeance, this time targeting the already hyper-capable 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S, and giving birth to their latest creation: the TR 900 II.

922 Horses And No Chill

The stock Porsche 911 Turbo S is already a rocketship. With 650hp and 800Nm from its twin-turbo 3.8-litre flat-six, it rockets to 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds and tops out north of 330km/h. Impressive? Certainly. But to Manhart, that’s just the beginning.

Thanks to their TTH 1000 turbo upgrade, ECU remapping, a custom Manhart stainless steel exhaust system with valve control, and race downpipes with 200-cell cats, the TR 900 II delivers a bonkers 922hp and 1,090Nm. That’s over a 40% increase in power. This isn’t just tuning. This is full-on reengineering.

And it doesn’t stop there. Manhart knew the PDK dual-clutch gearbox wouldn’t be happy with that kind of torque on tap, so it received a proper upgrade to handle the newfound muscle. Interestingly, the brakes remain stock, because hey, when you already have Porsche’s carbon-ceramic anchors, what more do you need? (Still, Manhart offers upgrades for those who like their neck-snapping deceleration with extra bite.)

Lower, Meaner, Louder

To match the nuclear-level firepower, the TR 900 II looks every bit the killer it is. It rides 30mm lower thanks to H&R Manhart-labeled lowering springs, giving it a meaner stance and sharper reflexes. The Concave One forged wheels are proper head-turners, measuring 21 inches at the front and 22 at the rear, wrapped in ultra-wide 255/30ZR21 and 335/25ZR22 rubber. If you want them in wild custom colors, Manhart’s got your back.

Then comes the carbon-fiber aero kit, courtesy of Moshammer. We’re talking front spoiler, side skirts, diffuser, and a particularly angry-looking rear wing, all finished in gloss black to contrast the striking baby blue body. Racing stripes slicing through the hood and roof complete the “get-out-of-my-way” vibe.

Black & Blue Inside Too

Slide into the cockpit, and the blue-on-black theme continues. Porsche’s already luxurious interior gets a subtle but noticeable Manhart makeover: black leather everywhere, blue seat belts, stitching, and accents, and of course, Manhart-branded floor mats to remind you this isn’t your typical Stuttgart stallion. Even the steering wheel badge has been swapped for a Manhart crest!

TR 900 II vs. The World

Porsche hasn’t (yet) made a 911 Turbo S with this kind of firepower. Sure, they’ve built special edition GT2 RSs and wild one-offs, but nothing in the current lineup punches this hard. That’s what makes the TR 900 II so special. It takes everything the 911 Turbo S is and blows it wide open, without sacrificing the day-to-day usability that makes the 992 such a versatile supercar.

And for those who want even more (because of course you do), Manhart has other Porsche projects in its stable too — like the TR 900 based on the 911 GT2 RS, the CRT 800, a fire-breathing take on the Cayenne SUV, and more.

Is It Insane? Absolutely. Do We Want One? Hell Yes.

The Manhart TR 900 II is a celebration of excess — of going faster, louder, and wilder than the engineers in Stuttgart ever dared. It’s not subtle. It doesn’t whisper. It screams. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. So, if you’ve got the bankroll, the need for speed, and real big ones to tame 922 horsepower of rear-engined fury, Manhart has built your dream car.
