Swiss manufacturer La Joux-Perret, a revered name in the watch industry renowned for designing and producing some of the most sophisticated watch movements in the world, has recently sold a minority stake to the LVMH Watches Division. Simultaneously, the acquisition follows a new strategic commercial partnership which will see La Joux-Perret provide its specialisation in production and innovation capabilities to all Maisons or brands within the LVMH Watch Division group.
Under the new agreement, La Joux-Perret will continue to provide its unique expertise and customer service to its current and future clients, while remaining fully independent. For all 16 Swiss-based 16 watch manufacturers within the LVMH Watches Division, this alliance advances the group’s long-term plan to strengthen strategic ties with exceptional industrial partners in Switzerland.
This won’t be the first time the two brands have collaborated. TAG Heuer has been working with La Joux-Perret since 2022 to develop a solar quartz movement. The same movement now features in TAG Heuer’s Aquaracer and TAG Heuer Formula 1 collections. Tiffany&Co, another sub-brand within the LVMH Watches Division, boasts a movement made by La Joux-Perret which can be found in the Swiss brand’s Rope watch collection.
