Louis Moinet is hosting an exciting event – The Exhibition of Excellence

“Come discover the “best of” watchmaking, a journey through the unique world of Louis Moinet, from yesterday to today.”

Louis Moinet inaugurated their “The Exhibition of Excellence” event on August 15, 2024, at the Fairmont Grand Hôtel in Geneva, Switzerland. This “unique exhibition” will run until September 15, 2024. It is in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the independent timepiece brand – Les Ateliers Louis Moinet, which is based in Saint-Blaise, Switzerland. Jean-Marie Schaller is the CEO and Creative Director.

– A part of the Fairmont Grand Hôtel’s ground floor has been converted into an art gallery for The Exhibition of Excellence. (Header image and top left image.)

– Two “extraordinary creations”  will be presented during the exhibition.

– The first is the SPEED OF SOUND, a chronograph timepiece “featuring a legendary calibre revisited by Louis Moinet’s master watchmakers.”  It is a limited edition of 20 pieces. (We will write a feature on this timepiece soon.)

– The second is STARMAN, “an exceptional timepiece containing the first traces of life found in the cosmos.”  (We have not received images and further information on this timepiece at the time of writing this article. Also, It is not yet posted on the brand’s website.)

Our Thoughts

We at The Cornea Impression have written about two Louis Moinet timepieces – the piece-unique Geopolis Opal and Black Moon – and are quite impressed.
