Second Destination in Kazakhstan
Poland’s flag carrier LOT Polish Airlines has confirmed the addition of Almaty to its network. The airline will launch direct flights from Warsaw to the former capital of Kazakhstan on May 31, 2026. Once live, Almaty will become the second city that LOT Polish Airlines serves in Kazakhstan, aside from the present capital, Astana.

Flight Schedule
LOT Polish Airlines will operate the Warsaw-Almaty route four times per week. The outbound flight will take off from the Polish capital’s Warsaw Chopin Airport at 22:40 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Those travelling in the opposite direction will board the flight that departs from Almaty at 09:20 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Both times mentioned are local.
Aircraft and Ticket Details
The carrier has confirmed that the flight from Warsaw to Almaty will take approximately 6.5 hours to complete, while the return leg will be an hour longer. A Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft has been chosen by LOT Polish Airlines to ferry passengers on both sectors. Those interested can go right ahead and book tickets for the newly announced route through LOT Polish Airlines’ official sales channels, including the website, the Contact Centre and LOT Travel agents.
