JLR India Registers 105% Growth

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has reported that in the first half (April to September 2023) of the current financial year, it sold 2,356 units. That equates to a growth of 105 per cent compared to the same period from last year. Delving deeper reveals that the automaker sold a record number of cars in this fiscal year’s first and second quarters. In Q2, for example, it retailed 1,308 units – a 108 per cent increase YoY. Its Q1 performance was good too, registering a 102 per cent rise in sales. In H1 FY24, the Defender was the bestselling model for JLR India, with 1,000 sales. As far as the JLR certified pre-owned business is concerned, it also grew by 83 per cent. JLR India says the H1 order book closed 90 per cent higher than the previous year. Range Rover, Ranger Rover Sport and the Defender account for 72 per cent of the total order book.
