For Watches and Wonders Geneve 2026, IWC Schaffhausen (“IWC”) has unveiled several Le Petit Price (or “The Little Prince”) models. Both models pay tribute to “The Little Prince,” the world-famous novel written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry over 80 years ago. In this article, we take a close look at two of them: Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Le Petit Prince in White Ceramic and Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34 Le Petit Prince.
Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Le Petit Prince in White Ceramic
The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Le Petit Prince in White Ceramic features a deep blue sunburst dial with a gradient effect. The hands are rhodium-plated and coated with Super-LumiNova. The Arabic numerals and indices are printed in white. Its case is made from white zirconium oxide ceramic and measures 41.9 mm (diameter) * 15.5 mm (thickness). Dial side features a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. It features a closed titanium caseback with an engraving of “The Little Prince.” It is water resistant to 10 bar or approximately 100 metres. The watch comes with a white rubber strap featuring the brand’s EasX-CHANGE® system.
It is powered by IWC-manufactured calibre 69381, a 4 Hz or 28,800 vph automatic movement that drives the central hours and minutes, small hacking seconds (6 o’clock), day and date display (apertures at 3 o’clock) and chronograph functions: central seconds, 30-minute counter (12 o’clock) and 12-hour counter (9 o’clock). The movement comprises 33 jewels and has a power reserve of 46 hours.
Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34 Le Petit Prince
The Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34 Le Petit Prince is the first model from the Portofino family that pays tribute to “The Little Prince.” It features a deep blue sunburst dial with gold-plated hands and hour-markers. Its case is made from durable stainless steel and measures 34 mm (diameter) * 8.9 mm (thickness). Dial side features a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. It features a closed caseback with an engraving of “The Little Prince.” It is water resistant to 5 bar or approximately 50 metres. The watch comes with a hand-coloured blue calfskin leather strap from Santoni of Italy. It features a quick-change system and is fitted with a butterfly folding clasp.
It is powered by calibre 35180, a 4 Hz or 28,800 vph automatic movement that drives the central hours, minutes, hacking seconds and day and night display. The movement comprises 24 jewels and has a power reserve of 50 hours.
