Indian EV Manufacturer – Ultraviolette Is going to Europe.
After attaining L3e and United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) certification Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 is all set to ride on the European tarmac.
Ultraviolette, an Indian Brand known for its electric sport bikes – is gearing up to move up in the world – with their bike gearing up to be sold in the European region which will mark the company selling their product out of India for the first time.
After receiving their L3e and United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) certification Ultraviolette is now allowed to sell their Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 in 40 different countries worldwide also including the European Union.
The Indian EV start-up has already commenced its operations in Germany and Turkey in the first phase and will eventually expand its operations in the European Union. The company is gearing up to make an entrance at the EICMA 2024, which is scheduled to be held in Italy.
After being granted their certification, the company has also announced their introductory price tag for F77 Mach 2, which is at € 9,990 (quite a markup compared to the one sold in India, which costs around INR 3.0 lakh, which is about € 3,300), along with that it has also begun to ship the first batch of their F77 Mach 2 for Europe.
Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 is already on sale in India in a select few states for INR 2.99 Lakh ex-showroom – and it comes in two different variants a standard 27kW Motor variant and a Recon variant that packs a bigger battery pack and more powerful 30kW AC Magnet motor that’s capable of doing 0-100kmh in 7.7. The standard variant has a 7.1kWh battery, while the Recon variant has a bigger 10.3kWh battery. The former boasts an IDC range of 211km and 323km for the latter Recon Variant.
So, This does not make Ultraviolette the first Indian EV start-up to sell their product outside India – as Ather has been doing that for a while in the Nepal and Sri Lankan markets – but Ultraviolette is the first EV brand from India to tap the European market.
