Hublot launches the revolutionary Arsham Droplet
This 3-in-1 timepiece is a collaboration between Hublot and Daniel Arsham, a renowned contemporary artist. It can be used as a pocket watch, a pendant, and a table clock.

Hublot and Daniel Arsham have collaborated to unveil the Arsham Droplet, a 3-in-1 timepiece that can be used as a pocket watch, a pendant, and a table clock. Daniel Arsham is a New York based renowned contemporary artist, “known for his unique style of transforming everyday objects into “future relics”.” The Arsham Droplet is a seductive fusion of past, present and the future. It combines Hublot’s horological expertise and Daniel Arsham’s original artistic vision to deliver a timepiece “that pushes the boundaries of traditional watchmaking.” The Arsham Droplet is crafted from titanium, rubber, and sapphire crystal, and is a limited edition of 99 pieces.

Case, Caseback and Crown
The Arsham Droplet’s case, caseback and crown have the following features:
– It features “a sandwich construction, with two exquisitely crafted domed teardrop-shaped crystals, the open worked titanium case resembles delicate lace woven in a droplet pattern.”
– It is crafted using shiny microblasted titanium with Arsham Green colour rubber bumpers.
– Its bezel is crafted in shiny microblasted titanium.
– Its dimensions are: 73.20 mm (length) * 52.60 mm (width) * 22.50 (thickness).
– It features a double sealing system with at least 17 O-ring seals, aptly placed to assure a perfect seal.
– It features six H-shaped polished and microblasted titanium screws, a signature Hublot design element.
– It has a sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment.
– Its caseback is crafted using microblasted M3 titanium.
– Daniel Arsham’s monogram in Arsham Green and black is stamped onto the caseback surface.
– Its crown is crafted using shiny microblasted and polished titanium.
– It has a water resistance of 3 ATM or 30 metres.
Functions, Dial and Hands
The Arsham Droplet has the following functions, dial, and hand features:
– Central hours and minutes.
– Small seconds at 9 o’clock.
– Arsham power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock.
– The dial features a semi-matte varnished finish and Arsham Green colour.
– The Arsham Index at 12 o’clock is made in 3D, in black and Arsham Green colour.
– The hour, minute and small seconds hands feature a semi-matte varnished finish and Arsham Green colour.
Movement
The Arsham Droplet is powered by Hublot’s HUB1201 in-house MECA-10 manual winding calibre. It has the following features:
– It powers the hours, minutes, small seconds and the Arsham power reserve indicator.
– It features a grey PVD treatment finish and luminescent green elements.
– It comprises of 223 parts.
– It has 24 jewels.
– It beats at a frequency of 21,600 vph or 3 Hz.
– It has a power reserve of 240 hours or 10 days.
Titanium Chains and Table Stand
The Arsham Droplet is delivered with two titanium chains and a table stand, enabling it to be used as a pocket watch, pendant and a table clock. Both titanium chains feature “Hublot’s patented double “one-click” system for seamless attachment.”
– Pocket Chain: Crafted in full titanium with polished links and a shiny microblasted carabiner and one-click system. This is the shorter of the two chains and enables the Arsham Droplet to be used as a conventional pocket watch. (Image above left).
– Necklace: Crafted in full titanium with polished links and a shiny microblasted clasp and one-click system. This is the longer of the two chains and enables the Arsham Droplet to be worn as a pendant. (Header Image).
– Table Stand: The base is crafted in microblasted titanium. It features a polished Green Arsham colour mineral glass sphere and a mineral magnifying glass. To use as a table clock, the Arsham Droplet is secured to the base, covered by the sphere, and the magnifying glass placed in front, on the base itself. (Images above centre and right).
Our Thoughts
The Arsham Droplet is a collaboration done right, as it brilliantly combines Hublot’s horological prowess with Daniel Arsham’s artistic genius. The Arsham Droplet reinterprets the pocket watch, pendant and table clock in a modern and futuristic way. I personally love pocket watches and table clocks. For the collector who loves any of these three, whether pocket watch, pendant or table clock, then the Arsham Droplet is a must have in their collection.
