Honda Amaze Completes 10 Years In India

Amaze, Honda’s bestselling model in India, turns 10. First launched in April 2013, the sub-4 metre sedan has found 5.3 lakh takers in the country. The first-gen model racked up 2.6 lakh sales before it made way for the second-gen version, which was introduced in May 2018. That keeps the sales counter ticking, with 2.7 lakh as the current reading. The Amaze presently accounts for 53 per cent of Honda Car India’s overall sales. In other words, every second car the Japanese carmaker sells in India is an Amaze. Made exclusively in India, at Honda’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan, the Amaze is also exported to South Africa and SAARC countries.
