It is a limited edition of 200 pieces.

“Fifty years ago, Girard-Perregaux unveiled the Laureato, a watch that would mark one of the major chapters in the history of contemporary watchmaking. Entirely designed, developed and produced in-house, it entered the world of elegant sports watches with integrated bracelets and a chronometer-certified manufacture quartz movement. In this anniversary year, the brand is celebrating its half-century with a limited edition of 200: the Laureato FIFTY. With features that make it the quintessential Laureato, it pays vibrant tribute to the past while projecting Girard-Perregaux into the future.”

Our Thoughts

One does not mess with icons. They evolve over time to suit current trends, tastes, preferences, and incorporate new materials and innovations. Their timeless essence remains the same. Audemars Piguet, A. Lange & Söhne, Patek Philippe, and Rolex strictly adhere to this with their Royal Oak, Lange 1, Calatrava, and Submariner respectively.

Girard-Perregaux’s Laureato is a horological icon whose design has stood the test of time. The Laureato FIFTY’s shape is a Laureato through and through – now powered by an all-new in-house state-of-the-art movement. While limited to 200 pieces, there will be other models – crafted from precious metals, steel, titanium, and various combinations – sporting an integrated bracelet or strap – and powered by the new movement. The Laureato collection is poised to become more appealing and desirable, and will leave collectors spoilt for choice.
