Geely Monjaro Launched In The UAE
It’s available in three variants, all packing a four-wheel-drive system.
After starting its UAE innings with three models, Coolrey, Emgrand and Geometry C, Geely has introduced a fourth product. It’s called the Monjaro, an SUV underpinned by the Chinese firm’s Compact Modular Architecture. The five-seater vehicle is available in three variants – GK, GF and GF+. In the same order, their prices are AED 123,900, AED 133,900 and AED 138,900.
Powering the Geely Monjaro is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that outputs 235hp/350Nm, while an 8-speed automatic handles transmission duties. And regardless of the variant the buyer settles for, the SUV will pack a four-wheel-drive system. As per the automaker, the Monjaro with that setup can complete the sprint from nothing to 100kmph in 7.7 seconds.
The Geely Monjaro comes equipped with various creature comforts, safety features and assistance systems. The list includes three-zone automatic climate control, a 10-speaker Bose sound system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, a 540-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, Blind Spot Detection, six airbags and automatic parking system. The range-topping derivative also offers two exclusive colour options – Matte Grey and Turquoise Blue.
A specially curated version of the Geely Monjaro was displayed at the launch event. It combined the Matte Grey exterior shade with a Caramel interior theme. Buyers can also choose between a blue or a brown-white interior theme. Part of the launch offer, besides the introductory prices mentioned above, is a three-year finance package at 0.99 per cent interest, free registration and window tinting. The package also includes a 5-year/100,000km service contract and a 5-year/150,000km warranty.Â
