Gamer Alert! Oakley And Fortnite Team Up To Drop 6 New Styles Of Eyewear
The 2nd edition of Oakley x Fortnite collaboration features new eyewear inspired by popular outfits and symbols from the Battle-Royale-style game including the legendary Midas, rainbow-hued Brite Bomber, Battle Bus, and the human-sized banana, Peely
Eyewear specialists Oakley and the folks at Fortnite have joined forces to create six news styles, ranging across a variety of eyewear categories for both adults and youth. This collaboration brings together Oakley’s “game-changing” aesthetics and technology with Fortnite’s cultural impact, with star personalities like Team Oakley athletes and esport legends Maria “Chica” Lopez and Sebastian “Sebas” Beron, along with gaming and pop culture figure Sydnee Goodman endorsing this new Oakley x Fortnite campaign.
The 2024 Oakley x Fortnite F/W collection has four new styles inspired by celebrated Fortnite symbols and Outfit. The legendary Midas, known for his signature golden hand, has been transformed into the Sutro Midas (USD 212 or AED 779 approx.) which comes with Prizm 24k lenses. The rare, rainbow-hued Brite Bomber, first seen in Fortnite Chapter One, serves as the inspiration for the Frogskins Range Brite Bomber (USD 205 or AED 753 approx.), and features Prizm Black lenses. Even the Battle Bus gets one in its name, the HSTN Metal Battle Bus (USD 240 or AED 881 approx.), which also comes with Prizm Black lenses. Last but not least, for young gamers, they’ve designed the Resistor Peely (USD 135 or AED 496 approx.), which is obviously is a style inspired by the fan-favorite Peely, the human-sized banana. It too gets the with Prizm Tungsten lenses.
The two other new “Everblue” styles add to the collection. These are inspired by the colours of the game, the same color hues of Oakley x Fortnite Helux and Hydra styles launched last year, and are developed for younger players. This drop introduces Top Level (50) Fortnite (USD 136 or AED 500 approx.) in Matte Cyan/Blue Fade with Youth Prescription lenses, alongside Frogskins XS Fortnite (USD 149 or AED 547 approx.) in Blue/Cyan with Prizm Gaming 2.0 lenses, which are designed to reduce glare for gaming sessions.
The new Oakley x Fortnite collection is currently on sale for all generations of gamers on Oakley.com at the prices mentioned, as well as in selected Oakley stores and resellers. We hope that the pricing for the Middle East have yet to be announced, but expect some latency.
