Final Jaguar F-Type Leaves Factory And It’s Not For Sale

It’s a convertible with a 5.0-litre V8.

The last-ever Jaguar F-Type has left the factory in Castle Bromwich. It’s a convertible with a 5.0-litre V8 under the bonnet, finished in Giola Green with a black roof and Tan Windsor leather interior. If you like what you see, here’s the bad news – it’s not for sale. Instead, it will be handed over to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT), where it will be preserved as part of the brand’s history. The final F-Type will join its spiritual successor – the last E-Type, produced in 1974, had a similar trim and colour combination with a 5.3-litre V12. The duo will participate in “special events and activities this year”.

When Jaguar pulled the plug on the E-Type, it was followed by the XJ-S. Similarly, the last F-Type makes way for the new era of Jaguar cars. Leading from the front will be a four-door electric GT, set to be unveiled in 2025. The E-Type and the final F-Type will be looked after at JDHT at Gaydon. There, they will be joined by the final specimens of the XE, XF, and XF Sportbrake, all of which recently completed their lifespans.

Jaguar introduced the F-Type in 2013 as its first two-seater sports car in about 40 years. The F-Type began its innings in convertible form, with the coupe joining the party in 2014. 87,731 examples have been manufactured, pre- and post-facelift versions combined. And Jaguar says the model will remain available until early next year.
