German carrier Eurowings and Czech airline Smartwings have further strengthened their cooperation at Václav Havel Airport in Prague, the country’s largest airport. As a result, the duo will offer multiple flight options every week from the Czech capital to the Canary Islands.
Eurowings will launch nonstop flights between Prague and the Canary Islands. Where to, exactly? The service to Lanzarote is planned for Tuesdays, whereas those wanting to visit Fuerteventura can board the airline’s service on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Eurowings will fly to Gran Canaria on Thursdays, and to Tenerife on Fridays and Sundays. Overall, the carrier will offer direct services on six days.
Before that happens, however, Smartwings will swing into action this summer and begin direct flights to four of the Canary Islands. The plan includes two weekly services to Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura, as well as a daily flight to Tenerife. Then, once the Eurowings connection goes live next winter, the Smartwings link between Prague and the Canary Islands will be expanded to include flights operated by the German carrier with a Smartwings codeshare flight number.
So, there you have it. Those who want to travel to the Canary Islands with either of the carriers mentioned above have numerous flight options.
