Etihad To Strengthen The Moscow Link Later In The Year

The airline has decided to launch a third daily service between the two capitals.

Etihad Airways, the UAE’s flag carrier, currently operates two daily services between Abu Dhabi and Moscow. However, starting October 1, 2025, that equation will change. Instead of two daily services between the capitals, the airline will fly three daily nonstop flights to increase the weekly capacity on the route significantly.

In addition to the current Boeing 787s ferrying passengers to and from Moscow, an Airbus A320 will be added to the equation. Featuring eight seats in Business Class and 150 in Economy, it will boost the weekly per-sector capacity by over 1,100 passenger seats, plus the additional cargo space. Like the Boeing widebodies, the narrowbody Airbus will fly between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO).
