Etihad Announces New Seasonal Routes To Oman, Poland And Russia

While the one to Russia is for the winter season, the remaining two will launch next summer.

Etihad Airways, the UAE’s flagship airline, has expanded its network for next summer and the upcoming winter season. It announced plans to introduce three seasonal routes: Kraków, Poland, known for its UNESCO World Heritage sites; Salalah, Oman, which boasts lush green scenery during the Khareef season; and Kazan, Russia, one of the fastest-growing tech hubs in the Tatarstan region. The former two will launch in the summer of 2026, whereas the one to Russia will join Etihad Airways’ network during the winter of 2025.

Kraków: Etihad’s Second Destination In Poland

Etihad Airways will start its nonstop seasonal service to Kraków on June 15, 2026. It’ll be a thrice-weekly affair, with flights operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until September 5, 2026. Flight EY 163 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 02:40 and land in Kraków at 07:15. The return leg – EY 164 – will begin and conclude its journey at 11:05 and 19:00, respectively. An Airbus A321LR will ferry passengers on both sectors. Once launched, Kraków will become Etihad Airways’ second destination in Poland, following the introduction of the Abu Dhabi-Warsaw route in June 2025.

Salalah: Relish Monsoon In All Its Glory

The carrier has confirmed that the Abu Dhabi-Salalah route will go live on May 21, 2026, with two weekly flights operating on Thursdays and Sundays. However, Etihad Airways will make it a daily affair from June 15, 2026, and maintain this schedule until it is scheduled to halt on September 15, 2026. Flight EY 687 will leave the UAE’s capital at 08:30 and arrive in Salalah at 10:10. Those travelling in the opposite direction will board flight EY 688, which departs from the Omani town at 11:05 and lands in Abu Dhabi at 12:50. An Airbus A320 will serve both sectors of this route.

Kazan: The Booming, Bustling Sports Town

Etihad Airways will launch its nonstop service to Kazan, Russia, on December 4, 2025. An Airbus A320 will do three return trips every week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flight EY 839 will take off from Abu Dhabi at 08:15 and land in Kazan at 12:30. After a halt of just shy of an hour, the return service, flight EY 840, will depart from Kazan at 13:25 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 19:50. Besides a booming tech sector, the town likes its sports. Furthermore, it’s home to the Kazan Kremlin, mosques, and cathedrals, all of which jointly reflect the Tatar-Russian heritage.
