Etihad Airways has entered into a new codeshare agreement with Greek airline Sky express, effective from July 14, 2025. This agreement enables Etihad passengers to reserve flights to twenty-four Greek islands and three Eastern Mediterranean cities, all via Athens, the capital of Greece. Renowned destinations such as Crete, Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, and Kos are now more conveniently reachable with a single ticket and coordinated baggage transfers.

The partnership builds on an earlier interline agreement, enhancing Etihad’s daily service to Athens. It also positions the Greek capital as a key hub for travellers heading to the islands. Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Arik De, said the deal offers customers more ways to explore Greece beyond Athens. Sky express’s extensive network aligns perfectly with Etihad’s European plans.
SKY express, which operates Greece’s youngest fleet, sees this as a vote of confidence from a major global airline. Its Chief Commercial Officer, Gerasimos Skaltsas, said the partnership helps make Greece a top travel spot all year round.
Tickets for the expanded network are available on etihad.com, the Etihad app, and through travel agents. The codeshare makes travel easier, faster, and more connected, especially for those looking to explore Greece’s beautiful islands with fewer hassles.
