Etihad And EgyptAir To Expand Codeshare Partnership

UAE’s national airline, Etihad Airways, and Egypt’s flag carrier, EgyptAir, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide their customers with extended travel choices, better value and enhanced services. The paperwork states that the duo will expand codeshares and extend travellers with frequent flyer cooperation.

The existing codeshare between Etihad and EgyptAir offers customers of both carriers the connectivity network of both airlines between Egypt and the UAE and beyond Cairo into Africa and Abu Dhabi into Asia. Thanks to the agreement, the passengers can travel on a single ticket with their baggage checked through to their final destinations.

The MoU signed will give passengers the flexibility of one-stop access to an expanded network of EgyptAir and Etihad. The latter will open doors to more destinations besides those in Asia and Australia that already exist. Similarly, Etihad customers can travel to more locations on EgyptAir’s network.
