Etihad And Batik Air Malaysia Are Now Codeshare Partners

UAE’s national carrier, Etihad Airways, has launched a codeshare partnership with Batik Air Malaysia, formerly Malindo Air. As is the case with such agreements, the partnership aims to boost connectivity for passengers of both airlines.

Per the codeshare paperwork, passengers of Etihad Airways can now access eight domestic and international destinations via Batik Air Malaysia’s hub at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The list includes five domestic locations across Malaysia – Johor Bahru, Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Tawau. The three international destinations where Etihad passengers can travel on a single ticket, with the baggage checked in till their final destination, are Da Nang and Hanoi in Vietnam and Perth in Australia.

Etihad Airways currently operates two flights daily between Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur. The codeshare goes live on July 16, 2024. Batik Air Malaysia has become Etihad’s 38th codeshare partner globally.
