Ducati Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP Unveiled at EICMA 2025

Unveiled at EICMA 2025, Ducati’s 2026 Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP bring razor-sharp agility and a new 890cc engine to the segment.

Ducati has unveiled the latest iteration of its Hypermotard at the 2025 EICMA in Milan. For 2026, the new Ducati Hypermotard gets two new variants, V2 and V2  SP. The new iteration of the bike features a refreshed design and a new heart.
Speaking of the new heart — 2026 Ducati Hypermotard gets a freshly developed 890cc V-twin engine, now producing 120 hp at 10,750 rpm and 94 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. The new Ducati V2 features a variable intake valve timing, ensuring at least 70% of peak torque is available from as low as 3,000 rpm, making it both flexible in real-world use and explosive on demand power for track use. The latest Ducati V2 is the lightest twin-cylinder engine in Ducati’s History, weighing just 54kg.
Lying beneath the striking bodywork is a new aluminium monocoque frame that utilises the engine as the stressed member for maximum rigidity and agility under heavy loads. Gone is the signature trellis frame, but Ducati still uses a trellis subframe on the motorcycle. The V2 variant now weighs 180 kg, and the V2 SP comes in even lighter at 177 kg.
The Ducati Hypermotard V2 trim comes with a 46mm fully adjustable Kayaba suspension, while the SP variant features premium Öhlins suspension units at the front and rear. Braking is handled by dual 320mm front discs with Brembo callipers.
A few standout design features that make the 2026 Ducati Hypermotard stand out are the underseat twin exhausts and minimalist, aggressive styling with a signature front beak, LED lighting, muscular fuel tank, and floating taillights.
Both Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP come equipped with an extensive electronics suite managed by a six-axis IMU, which includes cornering ABS with four different levels of adjustment, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and multiple ride modes such as Race, Sport, Road, and Wet.
The 2026 Ducati Hypermotard gets a new 5-inch TFT display that offers an intuitive interface with three themes, allowing riders to tailor the screen’s visual style and the information layout to their preference or riding conditions.
