Dongfeng is shifting gears in the UAE, and Chinese car enthusiasts and potential buyers in Abu Dhabi just got unprecedented access to the brand’s cars. The Chinese automotive giant, in partnership with MAHY Khoory Automotive, has officially opened its doors in the capital with a brand-new showroom on Airport Road near the World Trade Centre. Following the success of its first showroom on Al Ittihad Road, Dubai, this new Abu Dhabi location represents Dongfeng’s second official dealership in the country.
Dongfeng In The UAE
Headquartered in Wuhan, China, Dongfeng Motor Corporation is among the big four Chinese state-owned car manufacturers. Dongfeng officially entered the UAE market in October 2024 with its showroom in Dubai. Now, the brand has opened its first showroom in Abu Dhabi. The showroom features Dongfeng’s full range.
It includes the Dongfeng Rich 7, a smart, versatile pickup that blends utility with style, and for fleet buyers or adventurous weekend warriors, it’s a solid contender. The show-stopper though, is the recently-launched Dongfeng 007. The sleek sedan recently debuted at the recent Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit 2025 held in Abu Dhabi.
The extended range electric vehicle (EREV) that is expected to be launched in the UAE soon is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that charges the 28.39kWh battery pack, giving the 007 an impressive range of around 1,200km. Apart from these two new entrants in the market, the Dongfeng Abu Dhabi showroom will also showcase its other models like AX7, Shine, Shine Max & Mage.
What sets Dongfeng & MAHY Khoory Automotive apart is the experience. Known for its high-standard service centre in Al Quoz, Dubai, the brand is doubling down on giving customers an excellent after-sales experience with plans to open a cutting-edge service centre in Abu Dhabi.
Even better? Dongfeng isn’t done expanding. A new showroom in Mussafah is already in the pipeline, aiming to bring even greater accessibility and convenience to car buyers and businesses across the emirate.
