With the current winter season still on its last stretch, Delta Air Lines has already listed new routes for the next one. In addition, it has confirmed an increase in frequency to one of its most sought-after domestic routes.
Leading from the front is a first for the airline: a nonstop service from Atlanta, Georgia, to Marrakesh, Morocco. Set to begin in October this year, the newly announced route will operate thrice weekly on a Boeing 767-400ER. The aircraft will boast a cabin bifurcated into four sections: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin. SkyMiles members can enjoy onboard Wi-Fi to stay connected with their pals on land or stream content.
Another new service from Delta’s largest hub is a seasonal connection to Accra, Ghana. Scheduled to start on December 1, 2025, it’ll be a daily nonstop affair, complementing the carrier’s daily year-round service to the capital of Ghana from New York JFK. Delta will ferry passengers on an Airbus A330-900neo, the same aircraft type that debuted for the airline on the New York JFK-Accra route in October last year.
Delta has also been busy planning an increase in presence at Austin-Bergstrom (AUS). Starting December 20, 2025, until mid-April 2026, the airline will operate a daily direct service to Cancun, Mexico, from the said airport in Texas. On this new seasonal route, passengers will board an Airbus A320, featuring a three-class cabin layout: First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.
The airline has confirmed another change from Austin. During the peak winter travel period, the service to Orlando, Florida, will operate twice daily. Those who don’t fancy the morning flight can opt for the afternoon service.
Delta recently introduced a new twice-daily service from AUS to New Orleans. Next month, a daily nonstop flight to Panama City, Florida, will go live. In May this year, the carrier will link AUS with Jacksonville, Indianapolis, and Memphis, whereas San Francisco and Tampa services start in June 2025.
