Christian Louboutin Men’s FW26: A new era under Jaden Smith

• Debut Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection shown through immersive exhibition • Journey across spaces linking cinema, photography, hip hop and heritage • Capsule is up for grabs, ahead of the full collection in June

Why is this debut important?

Maison Christian Louboutin announces Jaden Smith as Men’s Creative Director. His debut collection is showcased through a gradual exhibition that pays homage to the past while presenting a forward-looking vision.

How does Jaden Smith describe his vision?

Smith finds inspiration in historical working men, builders, scribes, and doctors who influenced history through their skill and discipline. He views their legacy as cosmic, rejuvenated through design. Hip-hop culture plays a key role, influencing silhouettes that serve as formal wear for future men

What is the exhibition journey?

  • Projection Room: Inspired by Niépce, Daguerre, and the Lumière brothers, light and motion create images of shoes emerging against a medieval castle outline, representing a new world.
  • Trapman Corner features a 1990s hip-hop silhouette, central to Smith’s philosophy.
  • The Corteo revisits a classic, embodying discipline and presence.
  • Loafers Display showcases Penny loafers reimagined in three styles.
  • TCT I Display presents tactical design, with footwear serving as functional armour.

The experience continues with a 360° video installation of vintage screens depicting moments from the past and present that influence memory. Antique columns evoke the allegory of the Virgin Weeping over a Broken Column, symbolising heritage and fragility.

What symbols define the collaboration?

  • Angel Sculpture: A guardian symbolising the connection between Louboutin and Smith.
  • Photo Installation: Uses early photographic techniques, with certain images printed as red-illuminated negatives, reflecting the Maison’s distinctive style.
  • Red Anamorphosis: An exploration of perspective that changes as viewers move.
  • Exploded Red Head: A large-scale concluding piece that finalises the experience.

When will the collection be available?

An avant‑première capsule in a trilogy of red, black, and white is already available. However, the full Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection will launch in June.
