What is the ZXMoto 500RR?

The ZXMoto 500 RR is a new middleweight supersports motorcycle built on an in-house developed 470 cc platform by ZXMoto, a Chinese manufacturer founded in 2024 by Zhang Xue.

The ZXMoto 500RR  is set to compete against the likes of well-established models such as the Kawasaki Ninja ZX‑4RR, CFMOTO 500SR‑R, Kawasaki Ninja 500, Honda CBR500R and Aprilia RS 457.

What is ZXMoto?

ZXMoto is a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer founded in 2024 in Chongqing by Zhang Xue, the co‑founder of Kove Moto. Zhang Xue, a self‑taught engineer and entrepreneur who began as a motorcycle mechanic and later went on to build Kove into a globally recognised Chinese motorcycle brand, before founding ZXMoto.

ZXMoto is emerging as a frontrunner in global racing circuits and is currently competing in the FIM Supersport World Championship (WorldSSP), where it has achived china’s first ever win in the championship at the Portimão round in Portugal in 2026, with French rider Valentin Debise.

What powers the ZXMoto 500RR?

The ZXMoto 500RR is powered by an in‑house developed 470cc, liquid‑cooled, DOHC 16‑valve inline‑four engine with Bosch electronic fuel injection. The engine produces 84hp at 13,500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 11,500rpm.

What chassis and suspension does the ZXMoto 500RR use?

The ZXMoto 500RR uses an integrated steel trellis diamond frame that supports adjustable rake and anti‑squat angles, enabling track‑level geometry tweaks. The frame is paired to a fully adjustable  41mm inverted front USD fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock with an aluminium single-sided swingarm.

What brakes are fitted on the ZXMoto 500RR?

The ZXMoto 500RR uses a dual 300mm front discs clamped by four‑piston TAISKO callipers and a single 220mm rear disc with a two‑piston calliper. Braking is managed by a dual‑channel ABS with lean-sensitive cornering function supported by a six‑axis IMU.

ZXMoto 500RR offers a surprisingly stacked electronics and features package for its segment, supported by a six-axis IMU. It comes equipped with cornering ABS, traction control (TCS), four ride modes, quickshifter, ride‑by‑wire throttle, full LED lighting and a TFT‑LCD instrument cluster that supports smartphone mirroring.

What is the pricing and where has the ZXMoto 500RR already been launched?

The ZXMoto 500RR has launched in China, Thailand, Nepal, and Spain and is expected to go on sale in the UK and Malaysia in September 2026. In the UK, the price is expected to be around £5,899.
