Charger And Challenger ‘Last Call’ Editions Honour V8 HEMI

Dodge has introduced these limited-run iterations in the Middle East.

The Charger and Challenger are two Dodge marques that require no introduction. And one of the main attractions of both those models has always been the V8 HEMI under the hoods. Unfortunately, that eight-cylinder workhorse will soon bow out of service in the Challenger and Charger. The old workhorse doesn’t stand a chance as the world yearns for sustainable mobility solutions.

Not so soon, though! To commemorate the V8’s decades of service in multiple Dodge vehicles, the American carmaker has announced ‘Last Call’ editions of the Charger and Challenger for the Middle East. These limited-run iterations will bring back some heritage Dodge colours, adding to an already extensive choice of shades available. Furthermore, the ‘Last Call’ versions will also be available with never-before packages, including Charger/Challenger GT Blacktop Edition, Charger GT HEMI Orange Edition, and Charger Scat Pack Widebody, which is new to the region.

A commemorative “Last Call” plaque will be added to all 2023 Charger and Challenger vehicles. The limited-edition models available in the Middle East include the Charger/Challenger Swinger, Charger King Daytona, Challenger Black Ghost, and Challenger Shakedown.

Scat Pack Swinger versions of the 2023 Dodge Charger and the 2023 Dodge Challenger, which will be limited to approximately 1,000 units globally, will revive the grooviness of the original Dodge Dart Swinger. That boasted gold accents, green-on-gree exterior/interior colour combos, and wood panel inserts inside the cabin.

The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona packs 807hp and flaunts a Go Mango exterior colour with orange interior accents. Limited to about 350 units worldwide, it takes inspiration from a drag racer, William “Big Willie” Robinson. He named his 1969 Dodge Charger “King Daytona” and used it to claim victories.

The 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost dons a black-and-chrome theme and “gator skin” roof vinyl graphics. Wearing a Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody dress, the Black Ghost also sees a bump in power to 807hp. Dodge will produce around 400 units for customers worldwide.

Last but definitely not least, the Dodge Challenger Shakedown. It pays tribute to the Dodge Challenger Shakedown concept unveiled at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. Following the original recipe, the 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown features a black-and-red interior and exterior. Its production is limited to approximately 1,000 units globally.

So, which would be your top pick of the lot?
