BMW XM gets a new edition with help from Kith

The legendary lifestyle brand Kith is using its know-how to turn the XM into an exclusive

BMW and Kith are teaming up to make a special edition of the XM with a mere 47 units available for purchase. Why 47 you might ask? It’s the number of years since the BMW M1 was released and it makes sense since the BMW XM Kith Edition will be displayed next Kith founder, Ronnie Fieg’s BMW M1.

As seen on historic models, the special edition XM’s will be offered in BMW Individual Frozen Techno Violet metallic paint. This will be the first time the color is offered on the XM and only ever for the Kith edition. If purple doesn’t suit you, the alternative coloris BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic. Black side window graphics, accent strips, and outline of the model inscription on the front, rear, and side, along with the Kith logo are used on this special edition. Twenty-three-inch wheels in a star-spoke design in M light-alloy round out the exterior in a jet-black finish.

Complemented by exclusive details inside the interior, the illuminated door sills remind you that this is a “1/47” car, reminding you of the rarity. Velour floor mats and the Kith logo on the center console with M strips help as well. M carbon bucket seats are supplied by BMW with Individual Merino leather and embossed with the Kith monogram. The armrests and center console get the same treatment. The interior color is pre-set to purple lighting to create an exclusive atmosphere.

Not solely an appearance package, BMW has sought to achieve some performance in the suspension department. They’ve lowered the XM by 30 millimeters at the front and 35 millimeters at the rear. Both axles have been widened by 40 millimeters using special springs and wheel spacers.

The launch of the BMW XM Kith Edition will be supported by a range of Kith for BMW apparel and lifestyle collections. Apparel such as jackets in Italian leather, double-sided wool, and silky suede, jumpers, hoodies, rugby shirts, pants, and vintage-inspired t-shirts are part of the collection. Lifestyle accessories including hats, key fobs, license plates, leather gloves, towels, cushions, floor mats, mugs, trays, etc., round out the collection from Kith for BMW.

Cheers,
