BMW Motorrad India has officially launched its much-anticipated Adventure tourer: The F 450 GS for the Indian market. The ADV tourer is made in collaboration with the Indian manufacturer TVS. The motorcycle packs impressive electronics and GS DNA, packaged around a much more affordable entry-level tourer, with a base price of Rs 4.70 lakh and three variants to choose from.
What engine does it use?
The BMW F 450 GS is powered by a newly developed 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 48 hp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and BMW’s Shift Assistant Pro for clutchless upshifts and downshifts.
What about design and ergonomics?
The Motorcycle follows the design language of its elder GS siblings. The motorcycle features an ‘X’-shaped LED headlight, a pronounced beak, and a slim tail section. The bike gets a standard two-piece seat with an 845mm seat height and a 14-litre fuel tank.

The BMW F 450 GS comes in three variants, the variant hierarchy is as follows: Base Rs. 4.70 lakh, exclusive Rs. 4.90 lakh and GS Trophy comes at Rs. 5.30 lakh, all ex-showroom.
What colours are available?
BMW offers F450 Base and Exclusive variants in Cosmic Black, while the GS Trophy comes in Racing Blue Metallic with red and white accents. Trophy version also gets a Snaefell White tank centre cover.
