Bentley now part of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India

Indian automotive group Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) announces the acquisition of the Bentley brand and its future operations in India. An entirely new entity called Bentley India has now been formed, which would sit within the SAVWIPL brand umbrella, to oversee all marketing, sales, and after-sales operations for all Bentley models in the Indian market going forward. Abbey Thomas has been appointed as the Brand Director of Bentley India and will lead the Bentley brand in the Indian market.

SAVWIPL will be taking over all operations, including strategy and retail network, for the Bentley brand in India from July 1st, 2025 onwards. Bentley India will now open three new showrooms across India’s major metropolitan cities, starting with Bengaluru and Mumbai, with Delhi following soon. These new Bentley India showrooms will boast Bentley’s signature combination of performance, craftsmanship, and luxury.

Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India said, “Welcoming Bentley into the SAVWIPL family is a proud milestone that completes our portfolio — from the precision of German engineering to the timeless elegance and unmatched performance of British craftsmanship. India’s appetite for uncompromising luxury is growing rapidly. Additionally, Abbey’s deep understanding of the Indian market makes him the ideal leader to steer Bentley India toward new milestones.”

The Bentley brand has been part of India’s luxury car industry for over two decades. The latest integration with SAVWIPL is aimed at sharpening the carmaker’s focus on the market while assuring customers of world-class standards throughout their ownership journey.
