Bentley launches the Bentley Mulliner Batur

Limited to 18 examples, The Bentley Batur will be the most powerful, dynamic and exclusive Bentley to date.

The Bentley Mulliner Bacalar, announced in 2020 marked the return to coachbuilding for Mulliner. This ultimate expression of open air luxury, was limited to 12 examples.

Mulliner, Bentleys coach building division and one of the oldest automotive coach builders of the world has now come up with its second modern coach built creation, called the Batur.

The Bentley Mulliner Batur – a two-door grand touring coupe is a creation of Director of Design Andreas Mindt, the Batur showcases a new design DNA that will guide Bentley’s design language for their future range of Battery Electric vehicles (BEVs).

The Batur will see just 18 examples in this latest project by Bentley’s in-house bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, succeeding the Bacalar that relaunched coachbuilding at Bentley. Like the Bacalar, the Batur is named after a natural body of water.

Working with Mulliner’s in-house design team, every Batur will be co-created with its customer.

The future owner can customize almost anything imaginable on the Batur. Paint choice is infinite, and you can even get hand-painted graphics.

The paintwork on the launch Batur is a bespoke colour known as Bonneville Pearlescent SIlver – with carbon fiber front splitters, side skirts and rear diffuser painted in Black Crystal.

The Batur gets unique 22″ wheels with Black Crystal paintwork as standard.

This two-seater long-distance grand tourer’s interior can be optioned with a range of veneers for the fascia – natural fiber composite finished in a satin lacquer which is a sustainable alternative to carbon fiber. The passenger fascia panel gets a unique etching of the audio signature of the W12 engine, but bespoke etching is also available.

The Batur is the most powerful Bentley yet. Getting a 729hp version of the iconic, hand-assembled 6.0 litre, twin-turbo W12 engine has powered Bentley’s success for the last two decades. The engine performance will be combined with the most advanced Bentley chassis ever, featuring speed-tuned air suspension, electric anti-roll control, four-wheel steering and torque vectoring. It also gets a new intake system, upgraded turbochargers, new intercoolers and an extensive recalibration of the W12 engine to provide 40% more power while improving fuel economy by 25%.

The Batur is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a sports exhaust system. The adaptive three-chamber air springs each have three switchable chambers. The driver can select the ride comfort and body control via the four-mode Drive Dynamics Control choosing between Sport, Bentley, Comfort and Custom.

The Bentley Batur will be the most powerful, dynamic and exclusive Bentley to date.

Priced at $2 million, All 18 examples of Bentley Batur have already been reserved.
