BAIC, one of China’s largest automotive manufacturers, hosted a special event at its Dubai showroom to officially launch the new BJ30 SUV in the UAE. BAIC claims the new BJ30 is designed to cater to the “modern drivers seeking advanced technology, style, and performance” and the new hybrid variant with an impressive range of 1000kms also meets the growing demand for sustainable vehicles in the region.
The new BAIC BJ30 can be had in three variants – LV2, LV3 and Hybrid, with prices earmarked at AED 94,000, AED 102,000 and AED 114,000 (all VAT exclusive) respectively. This new SUV is claimed to offer off-road capabilities with advanced multi-mode drive selectors, a luxurious interior with leather seats, panoramic sunroof along with advanced tech consisting of a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8-speaker high-end audio system. A 360-degree surround-view camera, Rollover Mitigation System, and side curtain airbags comprise the state-of-the-art safety features on offer. Powering the new BAIC BJ30 is a 1.5T turbo engine delivering 185hp and 280Nm torque.

BAIC announced plans to expand its footprint in the UAE with new showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Furthermore, BAIC is also introducing a dedicated fleet segment and department to cater to the growing demand for fleet solutions in the UAE.
