Many would have been waiting for this one! Yes, the new Audi Q7 has finally gone on sale in India. While the bookings counter officially opened two weeks ago, the introductory prices have now been revealed. The new Audi Q7 has two variants: Premium Plus and Technology. While the former comes with a sticker price of INR 88.66 lakh, the latter demands INR 97.81 lakh, making it INR 9.15 lakh dearer.
Regardless of the variant chosen, the propulsion system remains the same. It comprises a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system producing 335bhp/500Nm, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the brand’s renowned Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The result is a 0-100kmph sprint time of 5.6 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
As you’d expect, the features list is extensive. The range-topping derivative packs features such as 20-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlamps, four-zone automatic climate control, adaptive windscreen wipers, powered front seats with memory function, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a wireless mobile charger and a panoramic glass roof. The Premium Plus variant misses a few features but has enough to justify its price tag.
The new Audi Q7 also has an array of safety and assistance features, including eight airbags, Park Assist with a 360-degree monitor, cruise control, high beam assist, Lane Departure Warning and tyre pressure monitoring system.
Buyers have five exterior colours—Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey, and Glacier White—and two interior themes—Cedar Brown and Saiga Beige—to choose from. The new Audi Q7 is assembled at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd.’s plant in Aurangabad, which helps keep the price competitive. While the standard warranty cover is for two years, the SUV comes with a 10-year complimentary roadside assistance membership.
