With its distinctive off-road design and increased ground clearance, the A3 allstreet sets itself apart from its A3 family derivatives. The crossover is now available as a plug-in hybrid, making it ideal for everyday life. Thanks to its high battery capacity, powerful recuperation performance, DC charging, and intelligent driving management. A new 1.5 TFSI EVO2 powers its turbocharged petrol engine with 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque and an electric motor with 115 hp and 330 Nm of torque. The combustion engine and the permanently excited synchronous motor deliver a system output of 204 hp and 350 Nm of torque, giving the crossover a powerful drive. You can experience the impressive boost force during acceleration. The A3 Allstreet 40 TFSI e has a top speed of 225kmph and operates in pure electric mode up to 140kmph
The driver can prioritise electric driving by selecting the EV button on the instrument panel or via the multimedia interface (MMI), allowing him to drive as if in a purely electric model. The primary “Auto Hybrid” operating mode intelligently balances the use of the combustion engine and the electric motor. This mode uses pure electric driving at low speeds, prioritises the TFSI engine at higher speeds, and often uses both together. The hybrid management system maintains a constant battery charge level, reserving sufficient electric power for later use, such as driving in a low-emission zone.
The Audi virtual cockpit displays comprehensive and transparent information as standard, including the power currently being called upon, the driving mode, the battery charge status, and the range. The MMI display also displays the energy flows.
Audi offers DC charging at fast-charging stations with up to 50 kW, which means that a battery that has been discharged by 10 per cent can be recharged to 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes. It also offers three-phase charging with up to 11 kW at AC charging points, such as a wall box or a municipal charging station. Charging takes 2.5 hours. The necessary Mode 3 cable is included as standard. Audi also offers a charging service, Audi charging, which provides on-demand access to around 630,000 charging points in 29 European countries. Drivers can use a single, convenient card at these and many other providers.
The A3 all-street TFSI e is 15 millimetres higher than the A3 Sportback. Together with the larger wheel diameter, this results in a 30-millimetre increase in ground clearance. Wide wheel arch liners emphasise the wheel arches, and 17-inch wheels are fitted as standard.
In addition to the electromechanical power steering, which provides a precise steering feel at high speeds and optimal support when parking, progressive steering with a variable ratio depending on the steering angle is optionally available for an even more agile driving experience.
