Aston Martin Creates The DBX707 AMR23 Edition
It boasts design elements derived from the AMR23 F1 race car and the Official Medical Car of Formula One.
In case you don’t follow Formula One closely, the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant team has had a great start to the 2023 Formula One World Championship. It currently occupies the second spot in the Constructor Standings, courtesy of solid performances from Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll – their F1 race car drivers. And to celebrate that, the Gaydon-based brand has created what you see here – the DBX707 AMR23 Edition.
The DBX707 requires no introduction. It is one of the most powerful production SUVs in the world, with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 pushing out 697hp/900Nm. A 9-speed automatic transmission harnesses all the oomph and feeds it to the wheels via an active all-wheel-drive system. As a result, the SUV can hit 100kmph from a standstill in 3.3 seconds and reach 310kmph at full blast.
The DBX707 AMR23 Edition retains all those performance figures. But it dials in some F1-inspired design elements, specifically from the AMR23 race car and the Official Medical Car of Formula One. The body colour, for instance, is the Podium Green paint. Furthermore, the front fender dons a unique Q by Aston Martin badge. Other standout touches include Aston Martin Racing Green brake callipers and lime accents on the carbon fibre body kit. The same lime colour makes up for the contrast stitching indoors, raising the sporty quotient of the black-green interior theme. Carbon fibre veneers, dark satin finish and AMR23 logo on door sills round off the tweaks on the interior.
Aston Martin will offer more F1-inspired stuff with the DBX707 AMR23 Edition for additional fees. Those who are interested can place their order for the specially curated go-fast SUV. Unfortunately, there’s no word on the pricing or how long the brand will take to deliver the booked units.
