American Shares Summer 2025 Schedule With New Routes To Europe

The plan also includes increased capacity on four routes to Asia.

Are you planning a trip to Europe or Asia next summer from the USA? American Airlines has some tasty options. The airline has announced that it will resume a few suspended routes and introduce new ones to enhance transatlantic connectivity.

Starting with Europe, American Airlines will begin a daily service between Chicago and Madrid, Spain, from March 30 aboard a Boeing 787-8. The same type of aircraft will also serve passengers daily on two more routes from May 23: Philadelphia-Edinburgh (Scotland) and Philadelphia-Milan (Italy).

American Airlines will begin daily service between Charlotte, North Carolina, and Athens, Greece, starting June 5. A month later, on July 5, 2025, the airline will link Miami with Rome, Italy. This, too, will be a daily affair. The airline will operate a Boeing 777-200 on both these routes. Another aircraft of the same type will serve travellers aboard American Airlines’ daily flights between Dallas-Fort Worth and Barcelona, starting March 30.

There are more updates for those who prefer to fly out of Philadelphia. A daily service will begin on May 5 to Naples, Italy, and another to Athens, Greece, from March 30. A Boeing 787-8 will serve flyers on both routes. The same type of long-haulier will also serve passengers on the Miami-Paris route, which has been extended into the summer.

In Asia, American Airlines has decided to offer extended capacity on four routes. The daily Dallas-Fort Worth-Tokyo Haneda service will operate on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The same type will also serve passengers flying between Dallas-Fort Worth and Shanghai and Los Angeles and Tokyo Haneda. Also, a Boeing 777-200 will be used for a daily flight between Dallas-Fort Worth and Tokyo Narita.

The carrier has confirmed that tickets to all these routes will be available on its official website and mobile application from September 9, 2024.
