All-new 2025 Toyota Camry Goes On Sale In The UAE; Starts At AED 109,900

Highlights include a hammerhead face, a slatted dashboard design, a cloud-based nav and a 5th gen’ hybrid powertrain delivering a claimed fuel economy of 27.7 km/L

Al-Futtaim Toyota, the official regional distributor for the Japanese automaker, has unveiled the all-new 2025 Toyota Camry in the United Arab Emirates. Building upon a grand legacy, the 9th generation Toyota Camry enters the market with a blend of sleek aesthetics, new technological features and an optional hybrid powertrain.

Exterior design: Hammerhead front w/ slim LED lights; alloy sizes range from 16” to 18”

The 2025 Camry sedan delivers a sleeker, more identifiable design thanks to its distinctive hammerhead front fascia which feature slim LED headlights and daytime running lights. The rear lamps share a similar C-shape as well. The base E variant gets 16-inch wheels, while the XLE gets multi-spoke 17-inch alloys and the top-spec GLE gets sportier 18-inch alloy wheels. The XLE and GLE also get a rear spoiler.

Interior design: Familiar ambience with a slatted dashboard

The interior of this new 5-seater family sedan maintains a familiar look and feel but has been revised to incorporate the new infotainment screen and slatted grille across the dashboard, which incorporates the air vents of the dual-zone air-conditioning system . The E variant has a single-zone type. Leather upholstery and the panoramic sunroof have been reserved for the GLE model, while both the E and XLE variants get fabric seats, with only the latter getting a sunroof.

Technology: Available 12.3” screens; 15W wireless charging & cloud-based nav’

A 7-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard on E & XLE models, while a standard 12.3-in fully digital gauge cluster is found in the top-spec GLE grade. The GLE model also gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen (with navigation) while all others get an 8-inch screen. In terms of connectivity, along with Bluetooth, the Camry offers USB-A and USB-C ports, with three in the front and two in the rear across all grades. All models also get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a standard Qi wireless charging pad capable of 15W fast charging.  The 9th generation Camry boasts Voice Agent for the first time, providing voice control of audio, vehicle systems, navigation, and connected smartphone functions. In addition, through the Cloud Navigation Function, a cloud-based navigation system can access the latest map, facility and traffic data.

Powertrain: 201 hp 2.5L 17.7 km/L & 227 hp 5th gen’ Hybrid w/ 27.7km/L

Powering the Camry is Toyota’s fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS 5) that pairs a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor, to deliver 227 net combined horsepower. On its own the ICE is rated at a max. output of 184 hp at 6,000 rpm and 221 hp at 3,600 – 5,200 rpm, and is claimed to deliver an incredible fuel economy figure of 27.7 km/L. While the electric motor is rated for 134 hp and 208 Nm of peak output. Also available is the carry over 2.5L in-line 4-cylinder gasoline engine that puts out 201 hp at 6,600 rpm and 240 Nm between 4,000 – 5,000 rpm, claimed to deliver 17.1 km/L. It is coupled to an 8-speed automatic, with a “tight gear ratio” and component optimisation for better response and smoother acceleration.

The 2025 Camry also boasts a retuned suspension (Front: Macpherson Strut Type; Rear: Double Wishbone) for enhanced responsiveness and road holding. The HEV has ‘Drive Mode Select’ with three driving modes – Normal, Sport and Eco…or you can drive in silence in ‘EV mode’.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0

The new Camry comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (TSS 3.0) that includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD), Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (above 20 mph), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (above 30 mph), Lane Tracing Assist to keep the vehicle centred etc.

Pricing & Warranty: Starts at AED 109,900; all models come covered for 3-year/100,000km

For the petrol engine, the base E variant costs AED 109,900, followed by the XLE at AED 119,900 and the GLE at 136,900. The hybrid XLE variant costs AED 123,900, while the top-spec GLE costs AED 139,900. The all-new Toyota Camry is covered for a 3-year/100,000 km. As for the hybrid battery, it is covered for 8 years or 160,000 km.
