Gaming has become a very big industry. People are nowadays pursuing it as a career and you will find Youtubers who are doing it holistically. Seeing this trend, Pagani has unveiled a very special product – gaming pedals that come straight from the Huayra R.
For those of you who don’t know, the Huayra R is a bonkers track car packing a 6.0 L naturally aspirated Mercedes-Benz V12 engine that produces 838 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. It redlines till 9,000 rpm so you see where we’re going, right?
The Italian manufacturer partnered with Asetek SimSports for building these special pedals. Pagani says that the Huayra R Sim Racing Pedals are designed just like the pedals in the track car with “just with a very few tweaks”, which were necessary to make them fit for gaming use.
The tweaks include a unique ‘Twin Hydraulic Opposing Rapid Piston’ braking system and rigorous testing done “for hundreds of hours by real-world Formula and GT drivers and sim racing pros.”
“The Pagani Huayra R represents the epitome of premium hypercar track cars, accessible to only a very few,” said André Sloth Eriksen, CEO and founder of Asetek. “We are pleased to now offer sim racers the thrill of driving a real-life Pagani track car with our Pagani Huayra R pedal set.”
Now, let’s get to the eye-watering bit. These gorgeous racing pedals cost €1,680 excluding VAT. Ouch.
