Air India To Start Bengaluru-London Gatwick Service

Presently, Air India operates flights to London Gatwick from four Indian cities – Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa and Kochi. Come August 18, 2024, Bengaluru will bump that count to five. The carrier will operate five weekly flights between the capital of Karnataka and London Gatwick on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Flight AI177 will depart Bengaluru at 13:05 and land at London Gatwick Airport at 19:05. The return service—AI178—will leave London Gatwick at 20:35 and arrive in Bengaluru at 10:50 the next day. On the newly announced route, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, comprising 18 flat beds in Business Class and 238 Economy seats, will serve passengers.

Once the Bengaluru-London Gatwick service goes live, Air India will have 17 weekly flights to and from London’s second-largest airport. In addition, the airline operates 31 weekly flights to London Heathrow and six weekly services to and from Birmingham.
