Air Canada To Offer More Seats On India Routes This Winter

The airline will offer 7,400 weekly seats from Canada to India.

Planning a trip between Canada and India during the upcoming winter season? Air Canada could very well fit your requirements. Canada’s flag carrier has announced an increase in seating capacity on India routes between October 2024 and March 2025.

Air Canada will operate 25 weekly flights between Canada and India, with 7,400 weekly seats. That accounts for a 40 per cent increase in seating capacity on routes to India. How? The first is via a new direct flight between Toronto and Mumbai. Starting October 27, 2024 (and ending March 27, 2025), flight AC46 will depart Toronto at 20:00 and arrive in Mumbai at 21:45 the next day. This route will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The return leg – AC47 – will leave India’s financial capital at 23:45 and land in Toronto at 06:45 the next day. This service will begin on October 28, 2024 (and end on March 29, 2025) and run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. A three-class Boeing 777-200LR will operate on this route, featuring Air Canada Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

Adding to the increased seating capacity is the flight between Calgary and Delhi via London Heathrow. While the Calgary-London route is a year-round affair, further connection to Delhi will be offered between the dates mentioned above for the Toronto-Mumbai route. Flight AC850 departs Calgary at 17:30 and lands in London at 09:20 the next day. The same flight will leave London at 12:00 and arrive in Delhi at 02:25 the next day. The return leg – AC851 – will depart from Delhi at 06:45 and arrive in London at 11:20. The London to Calgary flight departs at 13:25 and lands at 15:30. This service will be offered on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, configured with the same three seating classes as in the Boeing 777-200LR above.
