Yamaha RW350 Debuts at EICMA 2026 With New 327cc Engine and Adventure-Focused Hardware

Yamaha has unveiled the new RW350 adventure scooter at EICMA 2026, featuring a 327cc engine, innovative Dynamic Ride technology, long-travel suspension, electronic riding modes and off-road-inspired ergonomics for exploring beyond paved roads.

Yamaha has unveiled the new RW350 adventure scooter at EICMA 2026, introducing an all-new 327cc single-cylinder engine and a newly developed chassis arrangement called Yamaha Dynamic Ride.

The 327cc ADV scooter is part of the manufacturer’s new RW series, combining the convenience of an automatic scooter with adventure-inspired styling, ergonomics, and electronic equipment.

What engine powers the Yamaha RW350?

The Yamaha RW350 is powered by an all-new 327cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine. The engine produces a maximum power output of 29.2PS at 7,000rpm and peak torque of 31.5Nm at 5,750rpm, paired with a CVT automatic.

What is Yamaha Dynamic Ride technology?

Yamaha Dynamic Ride is a key engineering feature of the RW350; it is a newly developed engine and transmission mounting arrangement. Unlike conventional scooter layouts, where the engine and CVT assembly generally move together with the rear suspension, Yamaha has separated the two components.

The engine is mounted to the frame, while the CVT is allowed to swing vertically around the crankshaft pivot. According to Yamaha, this arrangement reduces unsprung weight and provides greater engineering freedom to design the rear suspension.

What chassis and suspension hardware does the Yamaha RW350 get?

The Yamaha RW350 is built around a newly developed diamond-type high-tensile steel tube frame, designed to provide agile handling and the ability to offer ruggedness and flexibility for long-distance riding and mild off-roading.

The suspension duties are handled by a 37mm inverted front fork offering 140mm of travel and twin rear shock absorbers with 105mm of travel. The rear suspension features preload adjustment with seven-step adjustment.

The RW350 rides on a 16-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel, equipped with Dunlop D615 block-pattern tubeless tyres. The rear wheel has a trick up its sleeve; it incorporates a damper intended to reduce vibrations during acceleration and deceleration. This works alongside the engine’s four-axis balancer and the Dynamic Ride layout to improve overall refinement.

What electronic features and riding modes does the Yamaha RW350 offer?

The Yamaha RW350 comes equipped with electronic features such as the Yamaha Chip-Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) electronic throttle system and Yamaha Ride Control (YRC), which offers three selectable riding modes: STREET, EXPLORE and ECO. Additional electronic equipment includes traction control and cruise control.

What display and other features does the Yamaha RW350 get?

The Yamaha RW350 comes equipped with a 5-inch full-colour TFT instrument display, which supports smartphone connectivity through Yamaha’s connected applications. It also gets a USB Type-C port around the cockpit.

Additional features include a smart key system, one-push electric starting and illuminated under-seat storage. On the safety side, it features auto-cancelling turn indicators and Emergency Stop Signalling (ESS).

What are the design and ergonomic highlights of the Yamaha RW350?

The RW350 adopts an adventure-inspired design with a relatively tall front section, exposed handlebars and bodywork intended to balance everyday practicality with the ability to travel on unpaved roads. The RW350 is available in adventure-inspired colour options, including Sage Blue, Arashi Sand, Extreme Yellow and Midnight Black.
