BMW Motorrad has invested in electric mobility startup Venna, which has expertise in electric motorcycle technology and development. The partnership aims to create new opportunities in the growing electric off-road motorcycle segment and help BMW Motorrad expand its motorcycle portfolio.
What is Venna?
Venna is a USA-based startup with Slovenian origins that specialises in high-performance electric motorcycles and was formerly known as Flux Performance. The company aims to develop electric motorcycles across different riding categories, with an emphasis on technology, performance and the riding experience.
Why has BMW Motorrad invested in Venna?
The investment strengthens BMW Motorrad’s focus on future technologies and electric mobility. Working with Venna gives the company a chance to build expertise in a segment it believes could attract more riders, particularly younger customers interested in performance-oriented electric motorcycles.
BMW Motorrad sees electric off-road motorcycles as an opportunity to enter a growing market segment and connect with new customer groups.
