What is the new Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Ultra-Cermet Mineral Blue?
The Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Ultra-Cermet Mineral Blue is the newest addition to Parmigiani Fleurier’s Tonda PF Sport Chronograph range. It combines an Ultra-Cermet case, a Mineral Blue dial and a COSC-certified 5 Hz high-beat chronograph movement.
What are its dial features?

Its satin-finished dial features mineral blue subdials. The delta-shaped skeletonised hour and minute hands are made from 18K gold and Blackor-plated. The chronograph (central seconds, 30-minute counter and 12-hour counter) and small seconds hands are made from Blackor-plated steel. The applied hour-markers are made from 18K gold and Blackor-plated.
What are its case and strap features?

Its case is made from polished and satin-finished Ultra-Cermet, “an advanced composite material that combines the hardness and durability of ceramic with the light-reflecting qualities of titanium.” It measures 42.5 mm (diameter) * 13.3 mm (thickness) and comprises of 73 components. Dial side features an ARunic anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and the caseback a sapphire crystal. Water resistant up to 100 metres. The watch comes with a mineral blue coloured rubber strap fitted with an Ultra-Cermet pin buckle.
“The development of this material required more than three years of research to achieve the desired result. It is produced through a manufacturing process known as sintering, whereby fine ceramic and titanium powders are compacted under heat and pressure to form a solid mass. This technique enables the two components to be united without bringing them to their melting point.”
“Machining demands diamond tools, tightly controlled production cycles and rigorous management of mechanical constraints. Its lower ductility compared with steel or titanium necessitates extremely precise assembly tolerances, while its thermal behaviour is carefully calibrated to ensure the integration of sapphire components and water resistance to 100 metres.”
Is it powered by an automatic movement?

Yes. It is powered by calibre PF070-CSND, an automatic movement with an integrated column wheel chronograph that drives the central hours and minutes, small seconds (6 o’clock) and chronograph functions: central seconds, 30-minute counter (3 o’clock) and 12-hour counter (9 o’clock).
It measures 30.6 mm or 13 ½ lignes (diameter) * 6.95 mm (thickness), comprises 288 parts and 42 jewels, beats at a frequency of 5 Hz or 36,000 vph and delivers a power reserve of 65 hours. The movement is COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) certified.
What do we think?

Parmigiani Fleurier’s watches are for collectors who appreciate watchmaking for watchmaking’s sake. The brand does not cater to “flex” and “hype” trends, though its incredible craftsmanship, watchmaking, and understated luxury vibes have garnered a fair bit of worldwide admiration lately. I noticed this during Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026, where the brand’s new Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux was one of the most talked about watches of the show.
The new Tonda PF Sport Chronograph Ultra-Cermet Mineral Blue is a worthy addition to the model’s lineup; it proves that cutting-edge aerospace-grade material innovation can co-exist with a modern chronograph movement that adheres to the most traditional of haute-horology codes. A handsome watch, one that is equally at ease with jeans as well as a dinner jacket.
