Triumph Tracker 400 Launched in India at Rs 2.46 Lakh With New 349cc Engine

Triumph Tracker 400 Launched in India: Everything to Know About Price and the all-new 349cc Engine.

What has Triumph launched in India?

British Motorcycle manufacturer has launched its Tracker 400, a flat-track-inspired motorcycle, powered by a downsized 349cc engine. The motorcycle is positioned as a flat-track model in Triumph’s 400 lineup.

What powers the Tracker 400, and what makes it unique?

The Triumph Tracker 400 is powered by a single-cylinder 349cc engine, producing 40 hp and 32 Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. As for its uniqueness, the engine is based on the erstwhile 398cc engine seen operating on the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400x, albeit with a reduction in its displacement.

The reduction of displacement allows the motorcycle to benefit from the lower 18% tax bracket for sub 350cc wherease the earlier 398cc models were set to attract 40% tax. While the reduction in displacement doesn’t translate towards a reduction in performance, the engine continues to offer similar figures as the 398cc motor.

What does the Tracker 400 look like, and what is its design theme?

The Triumph Tracker 400 follows a flat-track-inspired design language with a flatter overall stance, minimalist bodywork featuring a boxy fuel tank, flyscreen, number-board-style side panels, and a colour-matched seat cowl.

What features and hardware does the Triumph Tracker 400 get?

On the mechanical front, the Triumph Tracker 400 uses a steel frame, upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, front and rear disc brakes, and dual-channel ABS. To know more, read here: https://thecorneaimpression.com/triumph-unveils-tracker-400-for-the-uk-and-usa-markets/
