Maserati Confirms Full Schedule of the 2026 GT2 European Series

As many as four Maserati GT2 cars will lineup for the championship

Trident brand Maserati announces its participation in the GT2 European Series Championship for the 2026 season. 2026 will mark a century since the first time a car raced with the Trident logo on its bonnet (a Tipo 26). This season will also mark the presence of four Maserati GT2s on the starting grid of the GT2 European Series Championship Powered by Pirelli, a first.

Which teams and drivers will run the Maserati GT2 in 2026?

Maserati GT2 expands its network with as many as three teams fielding Maserati GT2 cars. LP Racing, led by Luca Pirri, returns with two Maserati GT2 entries. One of the drivers at the starting line will be Philippe Prette – defending champion in the Am Class, after he took the title in the 2024 season. The second car will be driven by Niccolò Pirri, a 17-year-old talent and the youngest Maserati driver on the grid who took part in last year’s tests at Misano. He will be representing the Trident brand in his quest to win the SRO GT Academy, and will be joined by experienced driver Thomas Yu Lee.

Dinamic Motorsport confirms participation in the 2026 GT2 European Series Championship Powered by Pirelli. The crew will consist of Mauro Calamia and Roberto Pampanini, competing for the Pro-Am Class. Additionally, i4Race joins Maserati GT2 for the first time with the lineup currently confirmed to include driver Antoine Potty.

What is the SRO GT Academy and Maserati’s role in it?

Maserati GT2 joins the SRO GT Academy initiative allowing the brand to create a pathway for young drivers. The SRO GT Academy title will mean a GT2 driver from the House of the Trident (or another brand) will be rewarded with a funded place in the 2027 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.
