Bentley returns to its roots with the new Bentayga Artenara Edition

• This limited edition celebrates the Bentayga's heritage with design cues inspired by the highest village in Gran Canaria. • Available in standard or extended wheelbase, the model features a choice of V8 or V6 hybrid powertrains. • Distinctive Mulliner elements and unique mountain-inspired motifs are included as standard.

What is the story behind the name?

The name Artenara comes from the highest village in Gran Canaria, which sits 1,200 metres above sea level. This village overlooks the Roque Bentayga peak. Since this peak gave the SUV its original name, Bentley chose this location to celebrate the vehicle’s history. Consequently, the car serves as a direct tribute to its geographical roots.

What unique design features define this model?

The Artenara Edition introduces a rugged mountain topography motif throughout the cabin. Initially, artisans etch this design onto the fascia, including the precise longitude and latitude of the Roque Bentayga. Moreover, the same pattern appears on the doors and seat shoulders via laser-crafted perforations. When you open the doors, a welcome lamp projects this mountain motif onto the ground.

What are the exterior options?

Bentley offers eight curated exterior colours, including Sequin Blue, Verdant, and Pale Brodgar. To ensure a clean side profile, designers finish the lower body brightware in the same colour as the paintwork. In addition to these shades, owners choose between classic Bright Chrome or the contemporary Blackline Specification. This latter option features gloss-black trim and dark-chrome grille pockets. The car sits on 22-inch Mulliner wheels as standard, though customers may also specify a new 23-inch Super Lux wheel.

How do designers configure the interior?

Each of the eight curated themes includes a harmonising three-colour split interior. Previously, Bentley reserved this layout exclusively for the Mulliner Extended Wheelbase model. For instance, the Pale Brodgar specification pairs a neutral exterior with an interior split of Portland and Beluga hides. Designers then accent the cabin with Linen and Piano Linen veneers. Therefore, each theme offers a cohesive, imaginative combination of textures.

What engine and body variants are available?

The Artenara Edition provides flexibility across the Bentayga range. Specifically, customers can choose from the following:

  • Standard Wheelbase (SWB): Features a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 or a V6 Hybrid.
  • Extended Wheelbase (EWB): Utilises the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 exclusively.

The V8 engine delivers 550 PS, propelling the car to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and to a top speed of 290 km/h. Alternatively, the V6 hybrid reaches a top speed of 254 kmph. Additionally, the hybrid provides an electric-only range of up to 40 km for quiet urban journeys.

What technology and safety systems are included?

The Touring Specification comes as standard to provide advanced driver assistance. This system includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Guidance, which automatically maintains distance and lane position. Furthermore, Night Vision uses infrared cameras to spot obstacles in the dark. For urban driving, Intelligent Park Assist steers the vehicle into tight spaces while the owner supervises via a smartphone.

What maintenance and warranty coverage is provided?

Bentley includes a three-year, unlimited-mileage warranty with every new Bentayga. This plan covers all major mechanical and electrical systems. Additionally, Bentley offers fixed-price Service Plans for the first three scheduled services. These services occur every 16,000 km or once per year. During these visits, factory-trained technicians perform oil changes and full vehicle inspections to maintain peak performance.
