Fourth Daily Flight Between Capitals
Air India has announced a fourth daily flight between Delhi and London’s Heathrow Airport. Scheduled to go live on October 26, 2025, it will increase the carrier’s weekly flight count to 28 between the capitals. The fourth service will offer an additional 1,196 weekly seats per sector.
Largest Carrier Between India and the UK
With the additional service confirmed, Air India further solidifies its position as the largest carrier between India and the UK. With 61 weekly flights connecting five Indian cities, namely Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Amritsar, with London (Heathrow), London (Gatwick), and Birmingham, Air India offers over 18,000 seats per week per sector. That equates to about 1.7 million seats per annum between the two nations.

New Air India Flying Experience
On all flights between Delhi and London, Air India promises a new flying experience. Of the four services, two will operate using the airline’s latest Airbus A350-900 aircraft, while the other two will be aboard thoroughly refreshed Boeing 787-9 jets. Both aeroplane types feature a three-class layout, comprising Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins. Furthermore, travellers get access to complimentary Wi-Fi on all Delhi-London flights.
Air India’s Other Flights to the UK
The airline says that the expansion in operations includes the optimisation of services on other routes to the UK. Between Mumbai and London (Heathrow), Air India continues to operate two daily flights (14 per week), while the Bengaluru-London (Heathrow) route has been reinstated with seven weekly flights. The Ahmedabad-London route, which was temporarily relocated to Heathrow earlier this year, now resumes at London Gatwick with three weekly flights.
The Amritsar-London (Gatwick) and Delhi-Birmingham routes have been restored to three weekly services each, while the Amritsar-Birmingham connection continues with its three weekly flights.
