A new domestic destination will join Air India’s growing network later this year. On September 1, 2025, the airline will launch daily direct flights between Delhi and Gaya, Bihar. Flight AI429 will depart from India’s capital at 14:30, arriving in Gaya at 16:05. Air India will commence the return flight, AI430, at 16:40, landing in Delhi at 18:00.
Air India has thoughtfully planned the flight timings for the new route to provide comfortable connections to or from Kathmandu, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, Colombo, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul-Incheon, and Tokyo-Haneda.
Air India confirms that the new route will be operated using an Airbus A320, offering a full-service flight experience. Once launched, Gaya, the gateway to Bodh Gaya, one of the most significant Buddhist pilgrimage sites globally, will become the carrier’s 46th domestic destination within its network.
